Gary Zack's Circus Series is spontaneous and

funloving, with freeform shapes and clown-like

demeanor.  Transparent, multicolored polka dots of are

scattered randomly upon a translucent, butter-colored

background.  The forms are topped with delicate

applications of black and colored threads.

Recently, Zack has been offering settings with

multiple, nested forms.

Loy Allen is a South Dakota native who returned to the Black Hills after studying design at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (B.A., 1975).  After learning basic lampworking in South Dakota, Ms. Allen studied advanced glass techniques at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and at The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.   Shown here is one of her wall sculptures featuring lampworked ladyslippers on a handforged metal base.
Scott Bisson has studied with numerous glass masters, including Robert Mickelson at Pilchuck School in Washington State.  His flameworked frogs and skinks are intricate and lively, and take on quite a personality.  He believes passion and excitement always create the best work.  "Skill is the raw material of a great piece and drive and energy make it take shape."

Margaret Neher’s glass work reflects that lifelong fascination with the art found in nature. Four-time finalist and winner of the 2004 NICHE award, she is best known for her finely detailed orchids, which are prized by orchid growers for their realism, and have been said to "capture the soul" of the orchid.
